We are a husband and wife team who create decorative mirrors together using images from the natural world, illuminated books, art history, and architecture. Our immediate surroundings on Mount Desert Island also provide us with a continuing source of ideas and inspiration. While our materials and techniques are traditional and straightforward, our aim is whimsical and fun. Our mirrors may reflect much more than their physical surroundings; viewers respond to both the image and what they bring to it. We have been collaborating in this work for nearly thirty years, yet continue to explore and develop new images and techniques. Our work is regularly featured at craft shows and galleries in Maine and around the country, including the Philadelphia Museum of Arts Craft Show and Smithsonian Craft Show.
